Tahini Mint Dressing

Tahini Mint Dressing is a delightfully creamy and refreshing dressing that serves as an excellent alternative to traditional coleslaw or salad dressings, with no dairy, eggs, or oil. This plant-based recipe features a luscious blend of tahini (sesame seed paste), zesty lemon juice, a touch of maple syrup for natural sweetness, apple cider vinegar for tang, whole-seed mustard for texture and flavor depth, aromatic crushed garlic, plenty of fresh mint leaves for brightness, and just enough water to achieve the perfect pourable consistency.

This dressing is incredibly versatile—drizzle it over crunchy coleslaw, toss it with leafy greens, or use it as a dip for vegetables or falafel. The combination of tahini and mint creates a rich, nutty yet fresh taste, beautifully balanced by the acidity and light sweetness.

Health Benefits:

  • Tahini is rich in plant-based protein, healthy fats, and essential minerals, including calcium, magnesium, and iron. It’s also a good source of B vitamins and antioxidants.
  • Lemon Juice adds vitamin C, which boosts immunity and enhances iron absorption, as well as helping to brighten the dressing’s flavour.
  • Maple Syrup provides gentle sweetness without refined sugars and carries trace minerals like zinc and manganese.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar supports healthy digestion and contains beneficial acetic acid, which is thought to aid in blood sugar regulation.
  • Whole-seed Mustard contains selenium and magnesium, and it also provides a satisfying texture and mild spice.
  • Garlic is known for its immune-boosting and heart-healthy properties thanks to its rich allicin content.
  • Mint Leaves are refreshing, aid digestion, and are a source of antioxidants and vitamin A.
  • No Oil, Dairy, or Eggs: This dressing is lower in calories and saturated fat than many traditional creamy dressings, making it a heart-healthy option suitable for a wide range of diets, including vegan and gluten-free.

Enjoy this vibrant, nourishing Tahini Mint Dressing to elevate your salads and meals—delivering both gourmet flavour and a boost of natural nutrition.
