Delicious French Toast
- 1 non-stick frying pan
- ½ cup chickpea flour
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ¾ cup plant-based milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 slices wholemeal toast
- Sieve all dry ingredients into a large bowl, mix well.
- Add the maple syrup, plant-based milk and vanilla essence and fold into the dry ingredients.
- Pour the mix into a shallow bowl wide enough to take the bread.
- Heat a non-stick pan or an omelete maker.
- Put wholemeal bread into mix and let it soak for at least 10 mins each side
- Move the bread onto the pan and heat through for around 5 mins, then turn.
- Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup and top with fresh or frozen berries - defrosted of course 🙂
