Homemade BBQ Sauce
- 1 lrg brown onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 can crushed tomato
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp vegan worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp miso
- 3-4 drops liquid smoke
- Saute the onion and garlic in a small amount of water, let the water evaporate and dry fry, turning constantly to prevent sticking, then add a small amount more water to pick up the caramelisation of the onion.
- Add all remaining ingredients, stir to combine, then simmer for 5 to 10 mins. Set aside to cool before using.
