No Egg Hollandaise Sauce

This no-egg hollandaise sauce not only dazzles the taste buds but also packs a punch in terms of health benefits. The star ingredient, raw cashew nuts, provides a creamy base rich in heart-healthy fats and plant-based proteins. Their nutrient profile includes vitamins like E and K and minerals such as magnesium and iron, supporting overall wellness.

Nutritional yeast, a key component, not only lends a savoury, cheese-like flavour but also offers a boost of B vitamins, adding to the sauce’s nutritional value. The addition of turmeric, celebrated for its active compound curcumin, brings anti-inflammatory properties to the mix, potentially aiding in reducing inflammation in the body.

Black salt, or kala namak, doesn’t just enhance the sauce’s taste with its slightly sulfurous notes; it contains trace minerals that could contribute to electrolyte balance. Miso, another ingredient, provides probiotics that promote gut health and aid digestion.

This sauce doesn’t just rely on taste; it’s a wholesome addition to dishes, offering a balance of nutrients and potential health-boosting properties. The lemon juice adds a zingy touch while contributing vitamin C, known for its immune-boosting prowess. Altogether, this no-egg hollandaise sauce isn’t just delicious; it’s a nutrient-rich, plant-powered alternative that elevates both flavour and health in your culinary adventures.
