Fragrant and flavourful, this turmeric-infused brown basmati rice is a nutritious and versatile side dish. Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup brown basmati rice
  • 2 cups vegetable stock
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper to release the benefits of the turmeric

Instructions
 

  • In a rice cooker, add all ingredients. Cook according to the cookers instructions.
  • At the end of the cooking, use a fork to fluff up the rice, and switch off the rice cooker so that it doesn't over cook.
  • The rice can be stored in the fridge for up to a week in an airtight container.
