Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups soya milk
  • ¾ cup dates softened in hot water (drain water afterwards
  • ¼ cup carob powder
  • 2 tsp caro coffee substitute
  • ¼ cup cornflour (cornstarch)
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • sliced almonds optional

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients in a large pot stir to combine then add in another 2 cups of soya milk.
  • Heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
  • Pour into a glass bowl and cover with plastic wrap, pushing the plastic down to cover the mixture to prevent skin from forming.
  • Chill for at least six hours and serve sprinkled with sliced almonds (optional).
