Air-Fried Oyster Mushrooms with Tofu Sweet Chilli Dipping Sauce
Catherine Barclay
Air-Fried Oyster Mushrooms with Tofu Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce is a delightful and crispy dish that highlights the meaty texture of oyster mushrooms. Perfectly air-fried to golden perfection, these mushrooms offer a savoury flavour that pairs beautifully with a creamy, plant-based tofu sweet chili dipping sauce. The sauce combines the richness of tofu with a hint of sweetness and spice, creating a perfect balance that complements the earthy mushrooms. Whether served as an appetizer or a snack, this dish is a healthy and flavorful alternative to traditional fried options.

In a bowl, blend the crumbs, herb, paprika, garlic and onion powders and the nutritional yeast.
In a separate bowl pour in the buttermilk.
Pat dry the oyster mushrooms, coat them in the buttermilk mix, then move them to the crumb mix and completely coat again. Finallly place the mushrooms into the airfryer basket. This might need to be two batches depending on the size of your airfryer.
Cook for 15 minutes at 180℃ (350℉) turning the mushrooms at the halfway point.
